Eric Rapin founded Lucid Agile with the idea that having a clear-eyed view of what is really going on in your organization can help you produce high value for your customers, rapidly and with highly-engaged, high-performance teams. Through Agile values, principles, and practices, Eric has trained and coached many organizations and their leaders, from small business units up to large scale enterprises. He believes that real transformation comes through the transparency of Agile and a laser-focus on continuous improvement.
Eric brings over 25 years of software product development experience from his beginnings as a software engineer through to 15 years of various management positions at Apple, Sun Microsystems, Openwave, and Adobe. Eric started doing Scrum after earning his CSM from Ken Schwaber in 2008 and devotes all his time at work helping others obtain the benefits of Agile.
Currently, Eric is a full-time Agile Transformation Leader at Adobe Systems, Inc®. He is also a Certified Scrum Trainer® through the Scrum Alliance® and trains and coaches at Adobe and for other clients on a part-time basis. He is also a Human Systems Dynamics Professional and uses the ideas from HSD about complexity science to influence positive organizational change.
Eric is active in the Bay Area Agile Leadership Network, a member of the Agile Alliance, and also is an instructor in the Agile Management program at UC Berkeley Extension.
Eric designs board games in his copious spare time with his brother through their game design company, Monkey Plays Games, LLC.
Eric lives with his wife, three teenagers, and a yellow lab in San Francisco, California.
